What Emparex Tablets is and what it is used for

EMPAREX 10/25 tablets contains the active substance Empagliflozin. It works by causing the kidneys to remove sugar (glucose) through urine.

EMPAREX 10/25 is used

• To treat type 2 diabetes in adult patients (aged 18 years and older) that cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone. This medicine can also help to prevent heart disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

It can be used without other medicines in patients who cannot take metformin (another diabetes medicine).This medicine can also be used with other medicines for the treatment of diabetes.

People who have diabetes and high blood sugar can develop serious or life-threatening complications, including heart disease, stroke, kidney problems, nerve damage, and eye problems. Therefore, it is important to stay on the diet and exercise program recommended by your doctor while taking this medicine.
